But in the mid...Both my grandfathers used to smoke. But in the mid-sixties it was no longer "silk" what was to be found in the cigarboxes. Every cigar had a tiny paper-band with a nice picture on it. And below the cigars was a larger one.<br />So we grandchildren, we had to be quick when grandfather finished a box. The first one there present was likely to get that larger and more wanted piece of collectable.<br /><br />But all those collections, I also used to collect stamps and postcards, all those are gone. Only the stamps remain in their maps, tucked away in the attick.<br />Today I'm still a collector. But now it is books and patterns of cross stitch samplers.<br />Once a collector always a collector!Ine Mnoreply@blogger.com
